All These Things I've Done

When there's no where else to run
Is there room for one more sun
One more sun
If you can hold on
If you can hold on
Hold on

I wanna stand up, I wanna let go
You know, you know
No you don't, you don't
I wanna shine on in the hearts of men
I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand
Another head aches, another heart breaks
I'm so much older than I can take
And my affection, well it comes and goes
I need direction to perfection no no no no
Help me out

Yeah, you know you gotta help me out
Oh, don't you put me on the backburner
You know you gotta help me out
Yeah

And when there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more sun
These changes aint changing me
The cold-hearted boy I used to be
Yeah, you know you gotta help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the backburner
You know you gotta help me out, yeah
You're gonna bring yourself down

Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

I got soul but I'm not a soldier
I got soul but I'm not a soldier
I got soul but I'm not a soldier
I got soul but I'm not a soldier

Yeah, you know you gotta help me out
Yeah, don't you put me on the backburner
You know you gotta help me out

Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the backburner
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

Over and in
Last call for sin
While everyone's lost, the battle is won
With all these things that I have done
Time kills hearts
If you can hold on

I saw Matt Pond PA do a semi-classical version of this song at a concert a while back. Splendid!

Wait, does that cup say Waffle House? I knew that was where true love could be found........

Lizzy-
Ok, you've taken how many of my songs? This one isn't yours, but I'll say we're even if that makes you feel better.

Athos-
yes, I've found many a fine 80 year old at waffle house just askin' for a good time.

Daniel-
Ask anyone from Tallahassee area and they will tell you just how much I hate Waffle House, and just how many stinkin' times they made me go at one in the morning! Curse you Waffle house and your sweet fixins!

Rosha-
That's good to know. Thank you for letting me know about your pecan lovin', though I find it kind of sad and depressing. Maybe you should try to widen out to the Huddle house or something.

ABZ-
Ya, I think they're great, but question how good they'd be in concert. Thanks for the heads up.
